What's So Great About the Recipe?
- It's ridiculously easy to make. You'll need just 5 minutes- that's it. It really doesn't get better than that.
- It's SO rich and creamy and tastes exactly like your favorite Ranch dressing or sauce, but is high in protein and much healthier too.
- It's super versatile- just like my cashew tamarind sauce. You can pair it with your favorite veggies and enjoy it as an appetizer or use it as a spread for your simple sandwich.
Recipe Ingredients

Cottage cheese: I used regular cottage cheese here because I really wanted that rich, creamy flavor. You could also use a low fat cottage cheese if you want.
Greek yogurt: The best unflavored, unsweetened Greek yogurt you can find.
Ranch seasoning: I used my homemade vegan Ranch seasoning here, but you could use packaged Ranch seasoning too.
Chives: To garnish and for that incredible color and freshness.
Lemon juice: Just a bit, for that tangy, citrusy zing.
See recipe card for quantities.
Substitutions & Variations
- Chop up some fresh herbs like parsley, dill and chives and add them into the mix to add some zesty flavor. When I don't have fresh herbs, I just add a bit of my mixed herb seasoning.
- Love citrusy flavors? You can also add a pinch of homemade citrus salt to lend some extra deliciousness to the dip.
- You can also add some dehydrated jalapeno flakes to the dip to spice it up.

💭Top Tip
This dip tastes best when served chilled. Make sure you refrigerate it for a few hours before you serve it.

Tips & Tricks to Nail the Recipe
- I prefer a nice thick texture, which is why I used more cottage cheese for this dip. If you prefer a lighter, softer dip, you can add a bit more Greek yogurt to it to adjust its consistency.
- If you're making this for a party you're hosting, simply combine everything in a blender jar instead of using the whisk- you'll need less effort and time!
- To bring a bit of different texture and flavor to the dip, you can swap the Greek yogurt for some sour cream. I usually like buying a portion of sour cream, splitting it up to use for this dip and to make my lemon sour cream dip.
- For a bit of extra heat, you can also add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the dip- like I did when I made my Chimichurri aioli.
- If you have some of the dip leftover, you can thin it out with some pickle juice or buttermilk (or even just some lemon juice or water) and turn it into a nice dressing for your simple salad.
How to Serve Cottage Cheese Ranch Dip
This ranch cottage cheese dip tastes best when served with veggies like cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, carrots, snap peas, bell peppers, celery and of course, with some pita chips and crackers. Every time I make my Air Fryer buffalo chicken tenders, I always pair them with this creamy ranch dip.
If you're planning on making this dip for a holiday party, considering pairing it with other appetizers like butternut squash chips, some tangy and spicy jalapeno pickled eggs, some pickled cherries, my favorite crunchy tobacco onions, some spicy Italian dipping oil and lots of crusty bread.
