Cherry tomatoes: I used a mix of red and yellow cherry tomatoes for that nice pop of color.

Cream cheese: For that rich, creamy base.

Greek yogurt: To lighten up the dip and make it healthier.

Garlic: Fresh garlic, minced- for that savory flavor. I like to use my air fried garlic sometimes, to lend the dip a bit of a smoky undertone.

Balsamic vinegar: For that umami depth and a bit of color.

Lemon juice: Freshly squeezed, to balance out the other flavors.

Basil: For that authentic Italian flavor.

Seasonings: Just some salt and pepper. Feel free to use an infused salt like garlic parsley salt if you want some extra flavor. I love using my citrus salt or mixed herb salt too!

Olive oil: The best quality extra virgin olive oil you can find.

How to Store Leftover Bruschetta Dip

Bruschetta dip is best assembled and consumed right away. If you've got some leftovers, you can refrigerate them for up to 24 hours. Make sure you cover up the dish with plastic wrap or a lid to keep it fresh.

If you want to prep this ahead of time, store the marinated tomatoes and the cream cheese base in separate containers in the refrigerator until you're ready to assemble. Again- keep in mind- no more than 24 hours!

Tips & Tricks to Nail the Recipe

  • I used a food processor to make things quicker- but you don't have to. Simply whipping it with a whisk is okay too!
  • When I don't have fresh tomatoes, I like to rehydrate my oven dried tomatoes and use them for the topping. Sometimes, I even end up using my cherry tomato confit if I have it at hand.
  • This one's not traditional, but if you fancy adding a bit of heat to the dip, you can also sprinkle some red pepper flakes like I did when I made my olive oil pizza sauce.
  • For a fun textural twist, top the dip with a generous sprinkle of crispy Italian breadcrumbs right before you serve.

How to Serve Bruschetta Dip

Enjoy this rich and creamy dip with your favorite crusty bread. If you're making this for a party you're hosting, pair it with appetizers like candied dates, pickled cherries, some spicy ranch crackers or naan dippers, my favorite cream cheese stuffed dates or just my classic marinated olives and feta.

Sometimes, I also like to spoon some of my spicy tomato jam over the cheese for an extra spicy kick.

I don't have cream cheese. What else can I use?

Creme fraiche, sour cream and ricotta cheese are some good alternatives to use. I love using my homemade mascarpone cheese sometimes when I have it at hand.

What kind of bread is best to pair with the Bruschetta dip?

Sourdough, Ciabatta and Baguettes are the classics you can never go wrong with. That said, almost any crusty bread works beautifully with this dip.
