Recipe Ingredients

- Tofu: The hero ingredient! Make sure you use extra firm tofu here for the best texture.

Substitutions & Variations
- Experiment with different kinds of seasonings to enjoy different flavors of tofu chips. I love using my homemade Creole seasoning and vegan Ranch seasoning mix in particular, but if you're looking for something simple, just use some mixed herb seasoning.
- For a cheesy flavor, you can also use some nutritional yeast to season the tofu.

💭Top Tip
Remove as much of the moisture from the tofu as you can. It is key to getting those perfect crispy chips!

Tips & Tricks to Nail the Recipe
- Use extra firm tofu for the best results. Pat the tofu dry thoroughly before seasoning.
- Arrange the slices in a single layer without overlapping. I always do this when I make my baked crispy noodles.
- Keep an eye on the chips during the last few minutes of baking since thinner pieces can brown quickly.
- Allow the chips to cool for a few minutes after baking to maximize crispiness.
How to Serve Tofu Chips
Just like my butternut squash chips, these tofu chips are delicious served on their own as a crunchy afternoon snack or healthy alternative to traditional chips.
They also pair wonderfully with hummus, cottage cheese ranch dip, guacamole or even some roasted zucchini dip. You can even crumble them over salads, grain bowls (like my chicken egg roll in a bowl) or soups for extra crunch and protein.

Troubleshooting and FAQs
Store them in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days. For maximum crispiness, enjoy them the day they're made.
Too much moisture is usually the culprit. Make sure to thoroughly blot the tofu dry before baking and use extra firm tofu.
Absolutely! Air fry at 350°F for about 15 minutes, flipping halfway through.
