10 minutes and a few pantry staples is all it takes to make these delicious mango Chutney toasties, that are a stunning upgrade to your classic grilled cheese.
Brush melted butter on one side of each of the bread slices.
Spoon some of the mango chutney over the slice.
Top with a single cheese slice.
Top with the other bread slice and brush some more melted butter.
Grill on both sides until golden brown.
Slice and serve!
Notes
I used a grill toaster to make these mango chutney toasties, but you can also just use a cast iron skillet if you don't have it. Make sure you cover the skillet too, to get the cheese to melt.
Some grilled cheese recipes call for the use of mayo instead of butter. Since mayo is essentially oil, it gets the bread to brown up nicely and doesn't end up burning as quickly as butter does- so if that's your thing, go ahead and do it.
You can also bulk up the sandwiches by adding a meat of your choice. Salami and turkey ham are great choices.
