Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon garlic granules
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 teaspoon parsley
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  • Combine all the ingredients in a shallow bowl.
  • Mix well and transfer to an airtight container.

Notes

  • Since this is a mix of spices and herbs, make sure you use the best quality, freshest ingredients. It makes all the difference in the end result!
  • I really like the slightly chunky texture from the garlic granules. You can use garlic powder if you don't prefer that.
  • Make sure the bowl and the container where you're storing the homemade rice seasoning is completely dry. Even a bit of moisture can cause the seasoning to spoil.
  • For even more flavor, you can use whole peppercorns, slightly dry roast them to make them aromatic, crush them and then add them into the seasoning mix.
  • Air Fryer dehydrated bell peppers can also be a wonderful addition to the seasoning mix. I add it in sometimes whenever I make a batch.
