Ingredients

  • 3-4 habaneros
  • 2 cups honey

Instructions

  • Start by preheating your Air Fryer and getting your ingredients ready.
  • Wash, dry and chop the habanero peppers into large chunks.
  • Transfer to the Air Fryer basket and cook for about 30-40 minutes.
  • Once the peppers have completely dried up, get them out and allow them to cool down.
  • Add the dried peppers into a bowl of honey over a double boiler for 10-20 minutes, cool and then strain the honey.

Notes

  • Make sure you wear gloves while handling the peppers. They can be quite hot.
  • Remember to use clean and dry glass jars or airtight containers to store the hot honey. Moisture is what causes bacterial growth and spoilage of this infused honey.
  • Whenever you're using the honey, make sure you use a clean, dry spoon to spoon it out, and then put the lid back on the jar to prevent contamination.
