Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • ½ cup freeze dried strawberries

Instructions

  • In a coffee grinder or food processor, combine the freeze dried strawberries and sugar.
  • Process under the strawberries are finely ground.
  • Transfer the fine powder to a clean bowl or container, free of moisture.
  • Use it to sweeten your favorite foods or simply sprinkle over fresh fruit.

Notes

You can also team up other freeze dried berries of your choice along with the strawberries, and make a mixed berry flavored sugar. Blueberries and raspberries are great options.
You can batch make your strawberry sugar, transfer to an airtight container and store it in a cool and dark place for up to 6 months.
You don’t need to refrigerate it- it stays perfectly fine at room temperature in your pantry.
Remember to use a clean and dry spoon to use it, and then put the lid back on the container to keep the sugar away from moisture.
If you don’t want to use your food processor, you can simply pulverize the strawberries in a Ziploc bag using a rolling pin until they’re finely powdered, and then add in the sugar.
