Ingredients

  • 2 cups strawberries
  • 1 tablespoon honey

Instructions

  • Wash, pat dry and remove the tops of the strawberries. Slice them in halves.
  • Arrange them on a lined baking sheet and drizzle honey over them. Season if you want to.
  • Roast them in a preheated oven for 20 minutes. Remove and drizzle with more honey.
  • Roast them again for 10 minutes if you want to get that bit of caramelization.

Notes

  • To bring out the fruity, sweet flavors of the strawberries, season with a bit of salt and pepper.
  • A drizzle of balsamic vinegar can also jazz up the flavors of the strawberries.
  • If you prefer that slight bit of caramelization, make sure you pat dry the strawberries well before you roast them, and spread them out well on your baking sheet.
  • If you like stewed, more syrupy strawberries, you can work with a lot of strawberries at a time, and even crowd up the baking sheet.
