Ingredients

  • 3 tomatoes
  • 1 onion
  • 3 garlic
  • 1 lime juiced
  • 1 jalapeno
  • ½ teaspoon brown sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon cilantro
  • 1 tablespoon oil

Instructions

  • Lightly brush olive oil over the veggies and arrange them in a single layer in your Air Fryer basket.
  • Air fry for about 10 minutes or until the veggies have softened and look slightly charred.
  • Remove the charred skin and transfer the veggies to a food processor. Add the cilantro, lime juice and seasonings.
  • Blend until you get a chunky salsa. Taste and adjust the seasonings.

Notes

  • To quicken up the air frying time, you can dice the tomatoes and onion before you add them in.
  • If your tomatoes are too juicy, you can core them before you use them for the recipe.
  • Don't be too particular about removing all the charred parts off the tomatoes. It's okay if a few of them are leftover- they'll actually add a nice smoky flavor and taste to the salsa.
  • To make things quicker, I just blended everything in my food processor. If you prefer more control over the texture, just use a sharp knife- like I did when I made my Turkish salsa.
  • To ensure the tomatoes are evenly cooked and charred, flip them over midway during the cooking time.
